Band

Furor Gallico are an Italian folk metal band formed in 2007 with the aim of blending extreme metal music with traditional Celtic, Irish and Breton tunes.

In 2009, after two years of hard work, the band releases the self-titled debut album, which will be repressed twice (2011 and 2014) thanks to its huge worldwide success.

In 2015, the sophomore ‘Songs from the Earth’ is released via Scarlet Records and the band increases their already intense live schedule, with shows in Italy and abroad, also in support of many international leading metal acts (Eluveitie, Finntroll, Ensiferum, Stratovarius, Dark Tranquillity, Carcass, Satyricon, Mago de Oz).

After several changes in the line-up, in 2019 Furor Gallico release their third record ‘Dusk of the Ages’, mixed by Tommy Vetterli (Eluveitie, Kreator, Coroner) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth). While still true to the band’s identity, the album adds new elements, such as a more melodic death metal-oriented songwriting and female vocals, and gains large success among fans and critics alike, in particular the Italian ballad ‘Canto d’Inverno’ (4.6 million views on YouTube).

In late 2023, the band has renewed the collaboration with Scarlet Records and announced a new album, titled ‘Future to Come’, to be released in 2024.
